Description

Barb Ticks are a massive nuisance to those who know how to avoid their territory, and they are a deadly problem for those new to Arieki. Troops can wander into a full field of Barb Ticks without spotting hem; use your minimap frequently to avoid this pitfall. When the computer detects many hostile targets, carefully scan the terrain around your squad. Retreat from a field of Barb Ticks to keep all attackers in front of you. Use area-of-effect weaponry (e.g. shotguns and the like) to clear the groups as they rush in. Physical attacks are a good way to destroy Barb Ticks.

Recent reports state that Beam Mantas often hunt in oncert with Barb Ticks feeding on the same kills and even fighting synergistically. This is unconfirmed.
