Description

Pistols lack accuracy for high damage at long range, and they cannot deliver area-of-effect damage to suppress large target groups. Nevertheless, pistols have a place in any soldier’s arsenal.

These weapons are light, easy to maintain, reload very quickly, and bead within moments. It’s easy to crouch for relative safety and take out targets at short range with a pistol. All AFS semi-automatic pistols feature a fast rate of fire, so targets won’t last long provided they’re in range.

All recruits are encouraged to train in the Firearms skill. Rank five of Firearms certification is given to any trooper that can reload a pistol and resume firing in less than one second.
