Hotfix applied

We have applied the following hotfix to the live servers:

  • Added respec for Spy characters.
  • After changing the game resolution to a specific resolution (ex: 1280x768 (Wide)), exiting the client, and restarting the cursor correctly becomes the TR game cursor.
  • Clicking on the game screen with the cursor does not resize the client.
  • Restarting the client after changing the game resolution does not reset the game resolution to 1158x864.

Some clients that are set to a full screen and resolution of 1280x960 or higher will not display the client correctly. We are still looking into this issue as this only affects some video cards and may be a driver related issue. If you have this issue, please make sure you are running the most current video drivers from your video card manufacturer.

Upcoming Hotfix

We are in the process of creating and testing a hotfix that would do the following:

  • Give Spies a Respec.
  • Fix the bug where your configuration data resets.
  • Fix game resolution not displaying correctly (fixes the cursor issue as well).
  • We don’t have an exact ETA since everything is dependent on testing, but we will get these fixes out as quickly as we safely can.

Feedback Friday - 22nd February 2008

The PvP Development Team has come across a lot of good feedback from players on the community forums regarding PvP and improvements they’d like to see. I just wanted to give a quick update to let players know that we are listening and we’re currently hard at work on a number of changes and additions to further refine the PvP experience. Our team currently focuses its time on two areas of PvP:

    • Expanding and refining current systems that are in place
    • Adding new gameplay opportunities that tie into the core PvP gameplay

UPDATE - Military Surplus Issues

We have isolated the root of the problem and have discovered that the issue partly arose after the 1 millionth transaction took place at the Military Surplus. Yes 1 million items have been sold already through the Military Surplus since its recent launch, and that’s only for the European server.

This is no longer a problem but we are working on a fix to make sure this does not happen again.

Thank you for your patience in this matter.

  • What are you guys working on at the moment?

As of now we’re working hard to get 1.5 out the door and on to the Public Test Server and ready for public consumption. Along with fixing any issues found by our QA Team in 1.5, the Developers are on their second week of working on the 1.6 build. Go devs go!

Science fiction prevails over the Fantasy genre

Some of the soldiers who chose to fight in the world of Tabula Rasa have done so because they have decided they would no longer bear to wear elf ears or robes in order to cast fireballs at big bad ogres or maleficent warlocks. To read more about this rant on how science fiction kills fantasy in video games, head over to io9.com.
